| October 1985 | Hitachi Sanki Engineering Co., Ltd., and Hitachi Kiko Co., Ltd. of which headquarters located in Tokyo, were merged and Hitachi Techno Engineering Co., Ltd. was newly established. Equipment Office was born in pursuit of advancing into the field of Electronics Manufacturing Equipment as the independent business at Minami-senju, Tokyo. |

Constructed a new factory in Ryugasaki, Ibaraki prefecture, relocated the factory to the same place, changed the name from Equipment Office to Products Division, Ryugasaki Works.
