Environmental Management
Environmental Policy
Our group recognizes that reducing greenhouse gas emissions and responding to climate change risks are our key management priorities, and has established an environmental policy to help conserve the environment and realize a sustainable society. Please refer to the "Materiality List" for activity themes toward our vision for 2030 and our goals for 2024.
The basic structure of an environmental management system is based on the PDCA cycle, which involves repeating the process of "Plan → Do → Check → Act" to resolve issues and make improvements.
About environmental aspects of ISO14001:
Environmental aspects refer to aspects or elements of the activities or services of a company or organization that impact or may impact on the environment. Specific examples of environmental aspects include the things environmentally burdensome such as paper, electricity, and waste, as well as the elements beneficial to the environment, such as use of recycled materials and clean energy.
In the ISO14001 environmental aspects, "significant environmental aspects" are selected and managed, those are the issues considered to be particularly important among various environmental aspects. They are selected in accordance with the goals and policies set by each company.
Obtainment of ISO14001
The ISO14000 series is an international unified standard that was created to assess corporate business activities from an environmental perspective. It requires the creation of a company-wide environmental management system that reduces the environmental burden and environmental risks caused by corporate activities, products, and services. Our company obtained ISO14001 in 2017.
ISO14001 stipulates the "ISO14001 Legal Requirements," and we have established our environmental management system in accordance with them.
Energy saving
We manage our electricity usage.
We are also installing solar panels and switching to energy-saving air conditioners to further reduce electricity usage.
