Although “compliance” is generally translated as “observance of laws and regulations,” we believe it is necessary to understand it broadly in order to enhance our corporate value and credibility. In other words, we are building a compliance system that encompasses not only laws and regulations, but also social norms, morals, and rules.
Code of Conduct
We have established the “AIMECHATEC Code of Conduct” as a code of conduct to implement the “Basic Sustainability Policy” and promote fair and transparent corporate management based on it. Through the strong leadership of top management and the implementation of this code by all employees, we will fulfill our social and environmental responsibilities and strive to enhance the value of our company and all stakeholders, and to achieve the SDGs and realize a sustainable society.
Compliance Promotion Committee
Our company has established a Compliance Promotion Committee for the purpose of ensuring thorough compliance and improving social credibility. The committee identifies compliance risks, implements preventive activities using the PDCA cycle, develops manuals, conducts education and awareness-raising activities. The results of these activities are reported to the Board of Directors.
Compliance Education
To cultivate employees' awareness of compliance in the ever-changing business environment, we conduct regular and occasional educational and enlightenment programs. The content of these activities focuses on themes suitable for the current business environment, such as prevention of harassment, prevention of insider trading, or corporate law.
Internal Reporting System
We have established an internal reporting system aiming for the early detection and correction of misconduct, and thereby strengthening compliance management by establishing a system for the appropriate handling of consultations or reports regarding violations of laws and regulations.
In addition to the General Affairs Department and the Legal Department, the internal reporting contact points include full-time auditors whose independence are guaranteed in accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act, as well as external contact points. The Internal Reporting System is designed to ensure the confidentiality of the investigation process and to allow whistleblowers to report without concerns.
